Go, go, go with Pay As You Go!

Somewhat easy to switch, but more granular customer support would be welcome.

So far, TELLO has delivered the goods: a phone line at a reasonable cost. (as I write this, I am also still waiting for my old phone number to be ported from my previous carrier, but this is not TELLO's fault. I am very sure my previous carrier's greed is causing the problem.) The one thing I do not like with the switch I made (i.e going from my Big Carrier to TELLO) is the transition and its steps (getting the new SIM card, slipping it in the old iPhone, activating it, setting every button in the APPLE "settings" on right, and getting the phone to work correctly between rings numbers and voice mail) is never as easy as one would hope. I am sure this would be equally infuriating with the big carriers (such as VERIZON or ExFINITY or AT&T) but TELLO has no stores and no active phone support, really. Even if they email you back fairly fast after you emailed your question, they always seem to be sending you rote replies of a general nature and rarely apply themselves to addressing the particularities of your case or your question. This means I am spending a lot of time right now trying to figure out how to record a clear outgoing message, and have it delivered to my callers in as few rings as possible. Someone more adept than I am at that game might figure out the hoops quickly, but I feel a bit let down for lack of help, although I cannot deny the technology is amazing and very affordable.

A viable alternative to the big telecoms

The price is the main reason for my rating. I don't often use my phone but when I do, the service has always been available.

Tello is amazing!!

Tello is amazing!!! I use it for my home WiFi 🤭. It works great! But after the 50GB is used (I rarely use that much) is very very slow….. so slow you can’t hardly do much, overall it’s a great company, easy customer serve reps and transparent billing. Thank you Tello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
