Pay As You Go credit can be used for domestic and international calls, text & data, and also for International Roaming. Pay As You Go balance expires 3 months after purchase unless there is an active plan for that line, in which case the credit remains valid for as long as the plan is active.

  • Yes, with Tello you can benefit from international roaming in 200+ countries and territories. Roaming calls, texting, and data costs are charged from your Pay As You Go balance, so you need a minimum of $5 Pay As You Go credit in order to activate international roaming.
    This can be done from your account - My Settings tab.
  • Activating your international roaming service is very easy. First, make sure you have at least $5 worth of Pay As You Go credit. Then go to the Settings tab in your online account and turn international roaming ON.
  • You will be charged from your Pay As You Go balance, according to the fees for the services you use and the country you're in, as listed on this page. Your Pay As You go balance for international roaming usage will update within 3 days.
  • International roaming is available in 200+ countries and territories. Click here for the entire list of available destinations.
  • Yes, Wi-Fi Calling will still be available. Even when you're in a foreign country, if you have an active Wi-Fi connection you can still call and text at domestic rates. Roaming charges will be incurred if you call and text while not being connected to a Wi-Fi network or if Wi-Fi Calling is not enabled.
  • When using international roaming, your Pay As You Go balance will update within 3 days. To avoid unexpected charges, the Auto Recharge feature will not be triggered. You can manually recharge your account with Pay As You Go credit whenever necessary.
  • When traveling abroad, you can access your voicemail in 2 ways:
    • if your international roaming service is active, you will need to call your own number in international format and enter your voicemail code
    • if you have an active Wi-Fi connection and Wi-Fi Calling is enabled, press and hold the 1 key or dial 123 on your device dial pad.

Best decision I made was switching to Tello Mobile!!

I'm so happy I switched my cell phone carrier to Tello, it's literally the best phone service I've had in a long time! Their plans are affordable, ($25 a month for unlimited)! Im not locked into a plan like most carriers. My reception and wifi is always spot on, never missing a beat and the customer service is great too!! If you're looking for a decent cell phone plan that's affordable then I highly suggest Tello. You can always cancel it if you don't like it, but it's definitely worth trying it out for a few months in my opinion.

Great value plan, great customer service, no contract

Their customer service is the best I have ever experienced of online it over the phone ( especially as so many companys nowadays cannot be called or just make you sit in hold and never plan to help to begin with). I have interacted with them over phone and another time by email and they quickly resolved the issues. The price is a good I am doing $25 for unlimited data text and calls, it is probably has more areas that have trouble with service for calls or data than a larger company but is a great budget company, if you have allot of important zoom meetings or very high data use functions to use may not the be best one for you. I also appreciate no contracts just month by month, I have stayed with them for a year or 2 and don't plan on switching any time soon.
