Best $12.76 I spend every month
200 min. talk, 200 texts and 200MB for $12.76 per month is an unbeatable deal. For cents a day, I can always be reached -- and calls are clear, go through quickly and my old iPhone 4S has never been this happy.

I Was Skeptical At First
I was skeptical of subcarriers at first. The idea that a company can "rent" bandwidth from one of the Big Four and resell it to consumers at a lower rate than the Big Four themselves? Laughable--that is, until I read a review about Tello. With most subcarriers, it's only more affordable if you happen to like the specific plans they offer. Tello, on the other hand, lets you name your terms. I signed up for only the services I need, and if my needs change, so too can the service I get. I haven't noticed any of the bandwidth issues people associate with subcarriers; my phone reception is exactly as good as before!
It took my phone a couple days to switch over, so I reached out to customer service. I'm not sure if the problem was with my phone, with Tello, or with the old carrier. Whatever the cause, customer service was polite and unassuming and got it working within the hour.
It isn't perfect, but it's every bit as good as my previous carrier in terms of coverage, and the price is more agreeable. If you're skeptical of subcarriers and the internet strangers like me who write reviews about them, good. Skepticism is healthy. Investigate Tello for yourself. Price out what kind of a plan you need. I bet it'll be worth it.

Tello Everyone You Know about Tello - The Real Deal
I have tried other low-cost phone companies and have been disappointed. Company A couldn't port my number because it had been locked by Company B, even though they said it wasn't. Company A couldn't figure out that it was locked, so I went a week without phone service. Company C was able to port my number, but phone and data service were both intermittent.
I finally found Tello. The phone, data and text services have been excellent. I like that I can use a plan and Pay As You Go together. I do not text much, so I put ten dollars in Pay As You Go to use for texts. That will probably last me at least a year. If I start to text more than I do now, I can always add texts to my plan and start a new billing cycle with my phone and data allowance carrying over as long as I keep them on my plan. The flexibility is great. Learn how you use your phone and design something that fits you. Tello has it.
My father only spends five dollars, plus the fees and taxes and gets all of the minutes he can use in a month.
You will probably spend more than my father spends, but you probably won't spend as much as you would with a different phone company if you manage your plan wisely.
