Tello is great!

We switch to Tello over a year ago when we moved from the us overseas. For such a low price per month I can get sms messages from banks and my grandma can call my US number. In that time they also cut pay as you go rates so they are now competitive with data only eSIMs but often with better service. The service in the US is deprioritized compared to other major networks and especially noticeable outside cities but it still works and is a good option for the price conscious or travelers. There’s no catch and customer service was great the one time I did need help. The only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t rollover if you switch your custom plan. So for example my monthly plan was ending with 2G of data left and I wanted to switch back to my usual overseas plan without data and there wasn’t rollover. If it wasn’t a difference of less than $10 this might matter more but because of the price it’s more something to be aware of.

Highly recommended. Purchased a plan for my daughter who was travelling to the US for a couple of weeks. Service worked flawlessly and was easy to get up and working. I was then able to transfer the esim for my brother to use for another couple of weeks. Altogether a very reliable service, with excellent pricing and features. Technically flawless process to activate the eSim and also to transfer it to another phone.
