How can I order a Tello GSM SIM or eSIM for a NEW line?
To purchase a Tello GSM SIM or eSIM, you need to first confirm device compatibility using our device checker page.
This tool does not verify if your device is carrier unlocked, so please confirm this with your previous provider or the device seller.
When you see the "Awesome" message click "Continue" The next screen will let you select the plan and then take you to the checkout section.
If this is your first order with Tello, the checkout section will display "New Tello Line" next to the "My Number" dropdown menu.
If you already have one or more active lines but want to add a new one, be sure to select "New Tello Line" from the dropdown menu before continuing.
During checkout, you will choose between a regular SIM card or an eSIM. If you opt for an eSIM, you will need to enter your phone's IMEI number to verify compatibility.
ESIM:
When you purchase an eSIM, a new line is activated immediately upon purchase, and a QR code will be displayed in your Tello account under the "My SIM" tab along with installation steps. As the activation is immediate, this also starts your billing cycle.
SIM Card:
When you purchase a Tello GSM SIM, you receive a 3-in-1 SIM card that includes mini (2FF), micro (3FF), and nano (4FF) sizes to fit any type of compatible phone.
You receive 1 big card that contains the three different sized punch-out SIM card options.
When the new Tello GSM SIM card arrives, first complete the activation steps in your online account, insert the new SIM, follow the on-screen prompts & start using the service.
Tello Phone Number & Porting
Each SIM activation for a new line generates a new Tello phone number. This number serves as your service number, but you can also port in a number from another provider if desired.
You can only port in a number after successfully activating the SIM in your online account. The port-in request form becomes visible only after a successful activation and can be accessed from your online account.

GSM SIMs from other providers will not work on the Tello GSM network.
Only a Tello GSM SIM will work.
