Pay As You Go (PAYG) is prepaid credit you can use for U.S. calls, texts, and data, as well as international calls and roaming. Your balance is simply deducted based on the rates for each service.

It’s a separate product from our monthly plans. You can use it on its own or add it to an active plan to cover specific features.

Pay As You Go credit can be used for the following:

• Making and receiving national and international calls
• Sending and receiving national and international SMS
• Using national mobile data
• Accessing international roaming services (International roaming can be enabled as long as your Pay As You Go balance has at least $5 remaining in it.)

✅ Good to know:

• Purchase: You can buy credit anytime through the Pay As You Go Credit page.
• The Website Minimum: To get that balance started, the minimum initial purchase (or manual refill) on our website is $20.
• Topping up:
  Via Text: Just text "ADD10PAYG", "ADD20PAYG", or "ADD50PAYG" to 800 to add credit, as long as you have a card saved in your account.
  Via the website: You can always access the Pay As You Go Credit page to add more credit.
• Rates:: You can check the rates here. If you plan on traveling internationally, check the roaming rates on the International Roaming page.
• Data: Unlimited data only applies to monthly plans, not PAYG. You can toggle your PAYG data on or off in the My Settings tab.

Does the credit expire?

• With an active plan: Your credit stays valid as long as your plan remains active.
• Without a plan: Credit expires 3 months after purchase. At that point, your Tello service ends and your number is permanently deleted.
