My phone was lost / stolen. How can I block my number?

Losing a phone is stressful, but the priority is making sure no one else uses your service or accesses your data. Here is how to lock things down quickly.

If your phone was stolen:

1. Block the line: Log in to your Tello account from any device, go to My SIM section, and select "Block number" at the bottom of the page.
2. Order a replacement: From the My SIM section, order a new eSIM (for instant setup) or a physical SIM.
3. Activate on a new device: Once you get your new SIM, set it up. You’ll keep your same phone number and your existing plan.
4. Update security: Change your Tello account password immediately. If your email or bank accounts were linked to that phone, change those passwords too.

If your phone is just misplaced:
You should still log in and Block the number just to be safe while you look for it. This prevents anyone who finds it from using your minutes or data.

Next Steps
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in your Tello account for future protection.
  • Check your Activity section in your online account to see if there were any calls or texts made after you lost the device.
Pro-Tip
Found your phone? If you recover your device and haven't ordered a replacement SIM yet, don't worry! Just reach out to our Support Team, and we can unblock your number so you can get back to using it right away.

⚠️ Warning Once you activate a new SIM or eSIM on your account, your old SIM card is permanently deactivated. Even if you find your old phone later, that specific SIM card will no longer work.
