What is the E911 Emergency Address?

To use Wi-Fi Calling, Tello requires you to have an "Emergency Address" saved in your account. This is a safety measure to ensure help can find you in an emergency.

Why It’s Important
When you call 911 over Wi-Fi, your phone doesn't always send your exact GPS location the way it does over a cell tower. By registering an address, we can transmit that location to the 911 dispatch center if you’re unable to speak or provide your current coordinates.

How to Add or Update Your Address
You can manage this directly in your account dashboard:
  1. Log in to your Tello account.
  2. Navigate to the My Settings section.
  3. Scroll down to the Wi-Fi Calling area and look for the Emergency E911 Address field.
  4. Enter your address and click Save.

⚠️ Warning
You must use a valid USA address to enable Wi-Fi Calling. If you are using Wi-Fi Calling at a different location (like an office or a hotel), remember to update this address in your settings so emergency responders have the correct info.

✅ Pro-Tip
If you're traveling abroad and using Wi-Fi Calling to stay connected, you still need to have a US address on file to keep the feature active—just keep in mind that 911 services are for US locations only.
