I activated my eSIM, but it's not working (iPhone)
If you completed the steps to install your eSIM on your iPhone, but you encountered issues and service is not working yet, check the next steps:

2. Verify the Status of the eSIM:
You may see a different status for the eSIM if the activation is in progress or if it encountered issues in reaching a network connection.
1. Common Errors:
- If your phone gets an error " ESIM not supported" or "ESIM not compatible", please note these indicate the device is carrier locked or restricted. Locked devices must be unlocked by the seller before being used with other carriers.
- If your phone displays " ESIM could not be activated. Contact carrier". Do not delete the Tello eSIM. This error is very common, and it can show for multiple reasons. Before you take any actions, complete the following checks:
- Go to Settings » Cellular » Mobile Data>
*If you have more than one SIM in your iPhone, a list of SIMs should be displayed in this section. - Verify the Tello eSIM is "ON."
- To test the service, temporarily turn off other SIMs
- If you ported in your number from another provider, make sure their SIM or eSIM has been deleted or removed.
- Check your Dual SIM Settings are correct to use the service and identify your SIMs correctly.
- Go to Settings » Cellular » Mobile Data>
2. Verify the Status of the eSIM:
You may see a different status for the eSIM if the activation is in progress or if it encountered issues in reaching a network connection.
- If the status of your eSIM is "No SIM", this indicates the line was deleted, and you will need to complete the installation one more time.
- If your eSIM displays “Activating…”: this indicates the activation is in progress, but the network connection is pending.
- Make sure to allow up to 30 minutes for this status to change.
- If the activation is still pending, check your Wi-Fi connection and make sure you have coverage in your area.
- Restart your device and test the service.
