What is RCS?
RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the modern upgrade to traditional texting (SMS/MMS). It turns your standard messaging app into a more interactive experience, similar to WhatsApp or iMessage, but without needing a separate account.
How it Works
Unlike old-school texts that use cellular signals, RCS uses a data connection (either Wi-Fi or mobile data). This allows you to do much more than just send plain text.

How it Works
Unlike old-school texts that use cellular signals, RCS uses a data connection (either Wi-Fi or mobile data). This allows you to do much more than just send plain text.
Key Features
- High-Quality Media: Send high-resolution photos and videos.
- Interactive Chat: See typing indicators (those jumping dots) and read receipts.
- Better Group Chats: Easily add or remove people from group conversations.
- Rich Sharing: Share your location, audio clips, and large files instantly.
- RCS is built directly into the native messaging apps on both Android and iOS. You don't need to download anything new; just make sure your "Chat Features" or "RCS" settings are toggled ON in your message settings.
- Ensure your Mobile Data or Wi-Fi is turned on, as RCS requires a data connection to work.
- Check your messaging app settings to confirm RCS is enabled.
- Remember that if the person you are messaging doesn't have RCS, your message will simply send as a regular SMS.
