What kind of SIM is required to use the Tello service?

To use our service, you need a Tello SIM physical card or a Tello eSIM. SIMs from other providers are not compatible with our network.

How to get a Tello physical SIM
  • Buying a Plan or Phone from Tello: If you purchase a new device directly from us, it comes with a free Tello SIM already included. After selecting your plan, you will be offered a SIM or eSIM to continue with your purchase.
  • Using Your Own Phone: If you’re bringing a compatible device to Tello, you can purchase a Tello SIM Kit through Amazon (check for current stock).

Will it fit my phone? Yes! When you order a Tello SIM, you receive a 3-in-1 SIM Kit. This is a single card with three different punch-out sizes:
  • Mini (2FF)
  • Micro (3FF)
  • Nano (4FF)

It’s designed to fit any compatible mobile device—you just punch out the size you need!

Switching Phones?
If you already have an active Tello SIM, you don’t need a new one to switch devices. Just pop your current SIM into any other compatible and unlocked phone, restart it, and you should be up and running within 20 minutes.

⚠️ Important SIM Rules:
Activation Window: A new SIM must be activated in your online account within 30 days of purchase. If you wait longer than 30 days, the SIM will expire and cannot be used.

Non-Reusable: A SIM card is tied to your phone number. If that phone number expires, the line is canceled or ported out, the SIM becomes obsolete, and cannot be reused for a new number.

Compatibility: Before buying, always make sure your device is unlocked and compatible with our network.
