What does each Scam Guard level mean?
Our Scam Guard service helps protect you from unwanted interruptions. Depending on how much protection you want, you can choose between two different levels: Scam Alert and Scam Stop.
Level 1: Scam Alert (Default)
This level acts as a warning system. Our network filters identify suspicious calls and flag them for you.
If you want to stop scammers from reaching you entirely, you can switch to Scam Stop.
When you first get Scam Guard, it is automatically set to Scam Alert. If you want the extra protection of Scam Stop, you can easily toggle it on in your Tello account settings.
Level 1: Scam Alert (Default)
This level acts as a warning system. Our network filters identify suspicious calls and flag them for you.
- What you see: The call will still ring on your phone, but the caller ID will display as "Scam Likely." * Verified Numbers: For eligible devices, numbers that have been confirmed as safe will appear as "Number Verified."
- Your Choice: You decide whether to answer the call or ignore it.
If you want to stop scammers from reaching you entirely, you can switch to Scam Stop.
- What it does: This feature automatically blocks suspicious calls at the network level.
- The Result: These calls will not ring on your phone and won't even appear on your screen. It’s the ultimate "peace and quiet" setting!
When you first get Scam Guard, it is automatically set to Scam Alert. If you want the extra protection of Scam Stop, you can easily toggle it on in your Tello account settings.
