I just placed my 1st order. What is my Tello phone number?

Your Tello phone number is automatically assigned based on your ZIP code and local area code availability. While you cannot choose a specific prefix, the number will be generated from your registered service area.

When will I see my number?
The timing depends on the type of SIM you purchased:
  • For eSIM: Your new number is active and visible on your Dashboard immediately after a successful order.
  • For Physical SIM: Your number will appear on your Dashboard as soon as you receive and activate the SIM card through your online account.

Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. Every new line is initially assigned a temporary Tello number, but you can replace it with your own at any time.
  • Activate First: You must successfully activate your Tello SIM or eSIM before you can transfer (port) your old number.
  • Submit Request: Once active, the Number Transfer option will be available in your online account.

Your temporary Tello number will be automatically replaced by your existing number once the port-in process is complete.
