Do I need a mobile number to use Affirm?

To use Affirm, you must have a mobile phone number from the U.S. or U.S. territories. This is used to verify your identity and keep your account secure.

Updating Your Number
  • If you get a NEW number from Tello: You must update your phone number in your Affirm account settings before trying to sign in, otherwise, you may be locked out of security verifications.
  • If you PORT your current number to Tello: No action is needed! Since your number stays the same, it will continue to work with your Affirm account just as it did before.
